In the last 18 months, interest has been snowballing in content strategy.  What is it in practical terms?  How can implementing one provide additional support for UX and usability professionals?  In this presentation, Ahava Leibtag, a noted D.C. content strategist, will break down basic elements of content strategy using real-world examples and case studies from her experience in such varied industries as healthcare, Hip Hop and beverage marketing.  The intersection between content strategy and social media strategy will also be explored.

Ahava has been a content strategist and Web writer for more than 10 years, and leads Aha Media Group, LLC, a digital communications strategy consultancy.  Her clients include major healthcare organizations like Johns Hopkins Medicine, MedStar Health and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.  Ahava’s experience includes developing marketing and communications strategies for a federal government regulatory agency, advertising production and writing for a worldwide executive recruiting firm.
